The San Diego Golf Academy is a golf school that focuses primarily on teaching students skills, theories, and information they will need to pursue a career in the golf industry. For instance, the San Diego Golf Academy offers instruction not only in the techniques of the game, but also in subjects such as golf course management. This helps graduates enter their careers with the training they need to be successful.

In addition, the San Diego Golf Academy demonstrates their commitment to their graduates’ careers by providing a job placement service called GolFutures. GolFutures successfully finds jobs for about 85 percent of SDGA graduates within six months of graduation.

Quail Lodge Resort and Golf Club expands its Golf Academy with the addition of highly regarded PGA professionals Bobby Clampett and Katherine Marren. With the May 19th opening of Clampett’s new Impact Zone Golf School and the appointment of Marren as Director of Instruction, Quail Lodge solidifies its position as one of the best golf instruction destinations in the country. The resort now also features the only TaylorMade MAT-T custom golf-fitting system in Northern California.

The first two-day session of the Impact Zone Golf School will run on May 19-20 and the second on July 20-21. Both feature extensive instruction by Clampett and his certified instructors on the resort’s scenic course.

The Impact Zone Golf School emphasizes five dynamics that combine to create optimal impact for beginning and advanced golfers. Clampett and his instructors analyze the dynamics of each golfer’s swing and provide individualized plans to maximize the swing’s impact. The cost is $2,295 per person, with rooms packages starting at $3,295 for single occupancy or $5,595 for double occupancy.

The resort’s new TaylorMade MAT-T custom-fitting system further gives golfers an edge. Using 3-D technology, the system analyzes a golfer’s swing and translates the data into customized clubs that will result in better contact, longer and straighter shots and better control.
